In a tragic incident triggered by heavy rainfall, a young woman lost her life after being swept into an overflowing drain in the Maligaon area of the city. According to reports, continuous downpour on Saturday night led to severe artificial flooding across several parts of Guwahati, leaving many areas waterlogged and disrupting normal life. The victim, identified as Pavel Nath from Dharapur, reportedly slipped into a drain while navigating through submerged streets on Sunday. Strong water currents dragged her away.
